Shuhei is the founder of SMS (2175, TSE 1st Section), one of the largest Asian internet based healthcare information platforms. SMS has a presence in 13 countries and over 30 different revenue streams. It has either invested in or acquired over 20 companies globally. Shuhei was CEO for 11 years, leading the company to a market capitalisation of $500m before relinquishing his position in 2013. He remains the largest shareholder. Shuhei is a prominent investor in start-up companies and has so far invested in over 10 companies. His continued support of the start-up scene, along with his skills and experience, make Shuhei a sought after business partner by entrepreneurs. Shuhei graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Kyushu University, Japan.
Masaki joined REAPRA in April 2018. Prior to REAPRA, Masaki was Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley Japan, overseeing a number of cross-border pre-IPO financings, IPOs and equity/equity-linked financings for companies from various sectors, including leading start-up companies. He also has extensive experience working with private equity firms, having previously worked at Advantage Partners. Masaki earned BA in Economics from Tokyo University.
James joined REAPRA in August 2016, bringing with him extensive investment and business experience in the Digital Media, Marketing, and Technology space across Asia and North America. Prior to REAPRA, James was a consultant for Axiom, mainly focusing on negotiating large technology transactions and partnerships on behalf of some of the largest global companies. He previously held a similar role with IBM Singapore. Legally trained, James spent years as a securities litigator in New York followed by a stint with the Philippine Supreme Court. He completed his JD from Boston College Law School and BS in Communications Technology Management from Ateneo de Manila University. James is a member of the New York Bar.
Jun joined REAPRA in September 2015 as CTO. He also founded SPARK X LAB, a REAPRA subsidiary company, in November 2015. Jun has vast experience in the Technology and Engineering sectors and held several CTO roles at companies such as Bracket, Piece of Cake and AGRIBUDDY Ltd. Jun’s career began at Yahoo Japan where he spent 3 years from 2001. Jun has personally created a variety of web services including the handmade product marketplace, Cooboo, which was acquired by GMO Pepabo. Jun graduated with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Aoyama Gakuin University, Japan.

Priscilla joined REAPRA in July 2017 and brings over 10 years of M&A, direct investment and start-up experience to the group. Prior to REAPRA, Priscilla was the Director and Investment Committee Member of North Base Media, a global digital media and technology fund. She was responsible for the sourcing, financial due diligence and portfolio management at North Base Media. She started her career at Goldman Sachs, then moved into a career in M&A. She successfully closed M&A deals valued over SGD 370M across Southeast Asia, Japan and NZ at Deloitte and PrimePartners. She also co-founded a mobile discovery app, WeWantSugar and owned a cafe in Singapore called, Cups N Canvas. Priscilla earned an Executive MSc from Baruch College, NY and Bachelor in Corporate Finance & Marketing from the University of Western Australia.
Imran has spent the last 20 years honing his skill sets across multiple industries; including TV production, publishing, recruitment and digital marketing. He has helmed numerous international publications as the editor of The Peak and Men’s Health, and also cut his teeth as a scriptwriter and producer for prime time television. For the past eight years, his focus has been on marketing and branding. To which he has been awarded accolades in the recruitment and talent acquisition landscape for his work on Spring Professional, the fastest growing recruitment brand in Asia, spearheading aggressive expansion in 16 countries in 3 years.

Laura joined REAPRA in October 2018 as Research Lead for Human and Social Sciences. A psychologist by training, her experience includes consulting, coaching and counseling, crisis management and intervention, learning and education, organisational development, and research. Laura has advance training in crisis management, as well as counselling and coaching interventions. She is a member of the American Psychological Society and the Singapore Psychological Society and is registered on the Register of Qualifications in Test Use (UK). She is also a certified Human Capital Strategist.
Prior to joining REAPRA, Laura worked in the consulting field for 13 years developing and delivering people management services and programmes for Fortune 500 companies as well as SMEs. Over 10 of those years were spent in key management appointments and leadership positions. Earlier on in her career, she worked in healthcare supporting patients with chronic illnesses and their families, and children with special needs. She was actively involved in major research collaborative projects between MOE and NIE (Singapore) dealing with ministerial level policies, teacher preparation and development, as well as education consulting projects for other governments. She has also been involved in research focusing on tertiary education in Singapore and the region. Laura is currently completing her doctoral studies with the University of Bath, UK. Her research focuses on human capital development and engagement amongst healthcare professionals.
Keita joined REAPRA in January 2018 as a Senior Software Engineer. Prior to REAPRA, he worked as a Software Engineer in several startup companies developing web services and mobile apps. Keita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Tokyo University of Technology.
Toby joined REAPRA in February 2018 as Accounts Manager responsible for the SEA headquarters accounts while providing financial advisory support to the subsidiaries and associates. Prior to REAPRA, he was with Deloitte & Touche for over 7 years managing a portfolio of clients comprising start-ups, group audits, listed company and multinational conglomerates of various dynamic and diversified industries. His interest lies in team mentoring and counselling which shaped his involvement in the staff morale sub-committee. Toby holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
Alvin joined REAPRA in June 2018 as an Accountant. Prior to joining REAPRA, he was with Deloitte & Touche LLP and was engaged with both local and overseas listed multi-national companies and also private companies on financial reporting and advisory on financial reporting standards. In addition, he part of the team of process re-engineering for specific audit procedures in Deloitte & Touche LLP. He has obtained his academic qualifications from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”) and is a member of both the ACCA and Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
Yuki joined Reapra in May 2021 as HR Associate. Prior to joining Reapra, she spent 3 years working in a Japanese automotive firm with experiences in talent acquisition and HR operations. She graduated from Sophia University, Japan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts.
David-Jonathan Chan has been a Corporate Strategy Associate with REAPRA since 2017 and is primarily responsible for supporting REAPRA’s portfolio companies across South East Asia. He delivers a mix of strategic and operational guidance while serving as a learning partner to founders in their own personal development journeys. He is fascinated by game-changing technologies and business concepts and is passionate about developing the organisations that will allow these ideas to permeate across society.
Prior to joining REAPRA, he had worked on industry development and incentives at the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and as a strategic plans and business development manager with Singapore Technologies Aerospace. At Singapore Technologies Aerospace, he was responsible for strategy development of the group’s airframe maintenance and aviation training & services clusters, as well as the creation of new business lines for the group in the fields of unmanned aerial vehicles, and airframe maintenance in emerging markets.
He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Kia joined REAPRA in September 2018 as a Corporate Strategy Associate.
Prior to REAPRA, Kia was a Management Consultant at YCP Holdings, a management consulting and private equity company. She had experience engaging in market entry strategy, market analysis and business expansions across Southeast Asia in multiple industries such as F&B and electronics. Besides that, her hands-on support experiences with Turnkeys-Project Management Office for F&B retail businesses gave her success in supporting clients to successfully breakeven within 2 months.
She holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology in Thailand and Master’s degree in Management from Tohoku University in Japan.

Eileen is a Corporate Strategy Associate at REAPRA. Prior to joining the company, she worked as an advisor at an impact advisory and investment firm in Zurich, advising international development organisations on innovative finance. She also has experiences advising and working with various startups on corporate strategy, business development and venture financing in Switzerland and Hong Kong. Before venturing into the startup ecosystem, Eileen was a policy maker at the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Health in Singapore, developing and implementing national policies.
Eileen holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore, as well as Master’s in Banking and Finance and CEMS Master’s in International Management from the University of St. Gallen.
Phak joined REAPRA in Sep 2018 after spending 3 years as a Business Development and Career Adviser at one of the top Japanese HR Recruitment & Consultant companies in Thailand. Prior to that, he spent 6 years in an MLM business as an independent distributor, where he honed and developed his skills in sales, marketing, business development, as well as in training & development. Phak brings this wealth of experience to REAPRA in supporting B80P as the Investment Sourcing expert for Thailand.

Michael joined REAPRA in July 2017. Prior to joining the company, he was a Consumer & Market Knowledge Manager at Procter & Gamble. In this role, he led strategy for a portfolio of brands within the Fabric and Home Care sector in Asia- advising on growth and turnaround opportunities, investment optimization, and data and analytics strategy. He has deep experience in market research and consumer insights, but also has finance background as Summer Analyst – Debt Capital Markets for HSBC where he was involved in the largest capital markets transaction in Philippines at the time. He graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a B.S. in Management Engineering and Minor in Financial Management.
